One stormy night A collaborative story between two nations Part 1 by Kylspr, Camped, and Micbar (in South Africa) Part 2 by Belen and Maru T. (in Argentina)
Part 1: Maria goes for a walk
It was a dark scary night and the wind was howling. Maria liked storms and she decided to explore the woods just outside her gate on her own. it was really cold and misty so she couldn't see very well.
She walked a little further and went the wrong way by mistake. It started to get a little steep and then it really was very steep. It felt as though she was ice skating down the hill.
She landed in a cave and she had to find a way out. Suddenly something screamed as loud as a volcano eruption. A light went on in the distance. She started walking towards the light.
She realized that what she heard was an old man who was in much pain. He was screaming "Ouch" in such a loud voice that Maria went to him and said, "What's wrong, sir? He said, “I think I have broken my arm, mate.”
Maria wasn't sure what to do next!
Part 2: Maria fetches the doctor
In that moment she remembered of a hospital that was four blocks away so she started running until she got there. She asked a doctor who passed by to come and see to the old man's leg but when she ran back, the old man was not there any more. She couldn't find him. She told the doctor the man had gone. He thought it was a joke so he went back to the hospital. In that moment she saw the man crying of pain beside a tree, so she went and asked him why he had run away and the man told her that he was afraid of doctors because when he was a child he had had a bad experience.
Then Maria got angry with the old man because he was stubborn. He didn't want to go to the doctor eve when the doctor came to him and he was hurt. That's why he was stubborn. Maria realized that the old man was stubborn and couldn’t change his mind. He would just have to suffer alone. If you are stubborn as the old man you will never know people who can save your life, in this case a doctor. THE END
