The Runaway Part 1 by Carai in South Africa Part 2 by Tori in Canada Part 3 by Olivia, Carla, Connie in Argentina A collaborative three-nation story

Slide 2

"Get that thing away from me!" the girl yelled. She was very scared of dogs but her older brother was a big bully and he kept putting his new puppy close to her face.  'Mom" she yelled. She was very good at yelling! Did I mention that she is a spoilt brat and her brother was jealous of her?

Slide 3

"It's OK" said her mom. "I will ground him for two weeks."

Slide 4

Once her brother found out he was grounded, he  got really angry and threatened to run away. His mother didn't really care, and told him to do whatever he wanted. He was so frustrated and angry at his family,  and didn't know what to do.

Slide 5

After sitting in his room crying  for an hour, he packed his valuable items and sneaked back downstairs.

Slide 6

While his mother was busy doing the dishes, he ran through the front door.

Slide 7

It was a cool damp night, and the only sound was the quiet  chirp of a bird. He started walking slower and slower down the streets of Las Vegas.

Slide 8

He felt very scared and alone. Suddenly he was homesick, so wanted to go back home, but it was too late. He got lost.

Slide 9

He ran and ran across the streets, and every time he crossed a block he felt more lost and frustrated, because of what he had done to his sister.

Slide 10

He wanted to go back on time and he would never do what he had done to her again. He will never run away from his sweet and cozy home. He was very alone. He went home, and apologised. He told them the following story: “Mysteriously I found a poor women trying to reach into my pocket to see if I had food. At first I was a little scared but then I thought if I give her food she will tell me where the street Bingo is. That was my street. So I gave her, her some food and as she was a very good woman. She took me to my street by hand and there I saw my house. I was so happy to be home.” The lovely and cute boy never fought again with his sister. He often gave a plate of extra food to the poor lady.
