Part 1: Kylspr in South Africa Part 2: Eliza and Shyla in Canada Part 3: Belen and Mariana in Argentina The Castle A three-nation collaborative story
The castle stood at the top of the hill. It was close enough to see that in a high window stood four kings, four queens and four little little babies in their mothers' arms.
Part 1: The long wait
The window was open then a cold breeze rustled the long bright red curtains draped over the edge of the window. Fear raced through the kings and queens as they waited for something to happen. Tears streamed out of the eyes of a queen with deep blue eyes and long Wavy blonde hair, as she cradled her child. "When is she supposed to be here?" a queen with short brown hair asked, still gazing out the window.
A man with a small beard gazed at her with kind eyes and and said in a raspy voice, "She will be here the moment the full moon is fully over the castle walls." "Are you sure she will show? Can we really trust her with something so important?" her eyes showed fear. He looked at her with remorse and said " I would trust her with my life and our kingdom’s people"
" That’s what you’re doing and all of Afelia people too!" she murmured, and then her eyes grew cold with anger and fear. When he was about to argue with the queen, the doors behind them slammed open and the woman they were worriedly a waiting came in huffing and puffing. She was draped in a dirty dress that was ripped and torn.
" Sorry I am late," She came bursting in with knotted hair flying behind her. “Where are the children?" She went over to the crying blonde-haired queen and rested her hand on her shoulder to give a little comfort. “Every thing will be OK. May I see her?" She put her cold hand on the infant and reluctantly the queen let go of her child.
Part 2: The Queen of Darkness arrives
Then suddenly the window shattered in to a million pieces. As they feared it was the Queen of Darkness floating on a cloud. Her long black hair shone amongst the purple clouds. Her red eyes glimmered. Her cackling voice pierced their ears. " Now once you are gone and the children are mine, I will be the ruler of Afelia!"
In that moment the children disappeared and the queen and king were so scared they sent some slaves to look for them. Three months went by and the people didn’t know about them. The crowning would take place in a week time and the witch would be the new queen.
Part 3: The rescue
The next day a slave found the refuge were the children were hidden so he got a stick and sharpened it so that he could cut the rope and let them go. The children were so happy they started Crying. After some minutes they told the slave that the witch was half way to the palace and they would not have time to get there before her.
But the slave said: “Nothing is impossible.” The next day the children woke up very early and started their journey. After a while the little brother was very tired so they stopped for a while. In that moment a strange animal appeared and they started running so fast they looked like cheetahs. In three days they were in Afelia and they recognized the witch that was dressed up as an old lady. So they caught her and took her to prison. From that day they were remembered as the kidnapped kings of that strange village called Afelia. THE END
